What we do

The constitutional objects of the Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) Serbian Heritage Foundation Petar II Petrovic Njegos are to prevent and relieve the poverty for the public benefit in Serbia, Kosovo and Metohija, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia by providing grants, items and services to individuals in need and/or organisations having the same aim. In doing so, one of the main goals of the CIO is the advancement of arts, culture and heritage for the public benefit with particular reference to that of Serbia. The CIO is run by the board of trustees on charitable principles with no trustee having any benefits from it.

We help

The CIO's main aim is to help those in need, in particular vulnerable children, by providing one-off or continuous support. It is also intended to help the most vulnerable and isolated families in ethnically isolated enclaves where Serbs live in Kosovo and Metohija. Throughout the region of Serbia, Kosovo and Metohija, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, the CIO will work to promote the heritage, culture and arts in order to restore the peace and unity between people of different ethnic groups.

Grants and Advocacy

The CIO collects donations from organisations, companies and individuals who recognise the need to prevent and relieve the poverty and distribute them in a transparent way by publicly announcing who the beneficiaries are at the time. The CIO traditionally organises the charity events, with the main event being the Saint Sava Ball in London, where all donations by the sponsors, patrons and diners are collected in one fund which is then used to help those in need. As the new CIO, we are open to applications by individuals or organisations working on prevention and relief of the poverty in Serbia, Kosovo and Metohija, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia for grants, items and services.
